Lois M. Cadoret, 81, of Union Street, Broadalbin, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at home. She was born in Broadalbin on March 31, 1940 a daughter of the late Dewey and Elsie Deming Kenyon and was a 1958 graduate of Broadalbin High School. Lois was a lifelong village resident. Mrs. Cadoret was employed as a shipping clerk at Grandoe Glove Company in Gloversville, for thirty one years, retiring in 2001. She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary in Broadalbin, serving as president and as a longtime treasurer, and a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Lois enjoyed baking, canning, gardening, and doing crossword puzzles. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends. She was married to Franklin B. Cadoret on October 3, 1964. Sadly, he died on August 14, 2010. Survivors include a son, Michael D. (Estamae) Cadoret of Gloverville; a daughter, Rachel C. Roberts of Cobleskill; a sister, Marjorie Becraft of Syracuse; four grandchildren, Kayla (Nic) Meyer, Tricia Roberts, Craig (Sarah) Roberts, and Lewis Bounds; four greatgrandchildren, Carrigan, Aubrey, Weston, and Callum; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 11am – 1pm at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, Inc, 111 County Highway 106 (Corner of Route 29 & Black Street), Johnstown followed by a funeral service at 1pm at the funeral home with Rev. Linda Martin, officiating. Burial will be in Broadalbin-Mayfield Rural Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
