Ginger S. Perham, 63, of East Shore Road, West Caroga Lake, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at home. She was born in Gloversville on May 6, 1958, a daughter of Raymond and Ramona Brownell Perham and lived in Meco. Ginger was a 1976 graduate of Gloversville High School and later graduated from FMCC with an Associate’s Degree in Business. She was a lifelong area resident and fulfilled her dream retirement home when she moved to Caroga Lake in May. Ginger was employed at Frontier Communication for thirty-eight years, with thirty-five years as an outside installation and repair technician. She retired in February 2020. Growing up, Ginger spent a lot of time with her sister, her lifelong friend, Lu Anne, and extended family and enjoyed camping and other outdoor activities. She continued to enjoy hiking, biking, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and boating. Ginger was an avid bowler and was a member of the Classy Ladies and Upstaters teams. She was a member of the Caroga Lake Fish & Game Club, the Nick Stoner Trailers Snowmobile Club, and the Women’s Auxiliary of the Concordia Club. Survivors include her son, Toby (Kearsten) Bruse of Gloversville; her significant other, David Briot of Caroga Lake; her mother, Ramona (Oakley) Cole of Gloversville; a sister, Connie (Jim) Yerry of Johnstown; two grandchildren whom she adored, Bennett and Nora Bruse; and two nieces, Brittany Wagner and Kali Lovette. Cremation was performed at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 – 7 pm at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, 111 County Highway 106 (Corner of Route 29 & Black Street). A Memorial service will follow at 7pm with Rev. Blake Blakesley, officiating. Facial coverings are respectfully recommended. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Caroga Lake Fish & Game Club or to the Nick Stoner Trailers Snowmobile Club, both in care of the funeral home.
