History & Staff

We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity.

Our History

A tradition of caring since 1958…

A family-owned and locally operated full service funeral home, the Halgas family cares for each family personally and individually. It is this quality of attentive, completely personal service that has earned the trust of the Broadalbin and surrounding communities for generations.

In 1958, my father, Robert M. Halgas, founded our family funeral business on a foundation of care with compassion, respect and attention to the smallest of details. Since his death in 1982, we have continued his vision of bringing comfort to our neighbors and guiding them though their time of loss.

We are privileged to have served the Broadalbin community for the past 62 years in celebrating their loved ones and treasured memories. We understand how comforting it can be to work with people you know and trust during a time of loss. Whether you are preplanning or at need with your funeral arrangements, we will make sure you are informed in your choices and decisions. We will also help your prepare the best possible service for your budget.

The loss of a loved one is a difficult time for every family. While you may be faced with many decisions and details during this time…you will not be alone. Our family will be there to help guide you through the process with thoughtful and personal attention to details.
