Jacqueline Jarosz, 58, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday evening, October 3, 2020 with her fiancée, Paul, at her side. She was born in Amsterdam on January 16, 1962 a daughter of Antoni and Josephine Rogers Jarosz and was educated at St. Mary’s Institute. Jackie was a 1980 graduate of Bishop Scully High School and later attended Fulton Montgomery Community College. She moved to Vermont and was employed in marketing at Orvis and began to work in her true passion, photography. She moved to Greenwich, CT and was a retail manager at J. McLaughlin. Jackie returned to the area and met her beloved Paul, who she would spend the rest of her life with. She enjoyed life and kept busy with photography, baking, kayaking, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors. Jackie always stayed in touch with her extended family and friends and loved spending time with them. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Roger. Survivors include her fiancée, Paul Kovalovich, of Johnstown; a brother, David (Kelly) Jarosz of Saratoga Springs; four nephews, Jack Jarosz (Maggi Carroll), Reed Jarosz, Antoni (Janelle) Jarosz, and Chester (Kayla) Jarosz; a niece, Caroline Jarosz; a great-nephew, Antoni; a great-niece, Stella; several aunts, uncles, cousins; special family friend, Elaine Ko- Talmadge; and many friends. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday October 20, 2020 at 11am at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Amsterdam with Rev. Donald Czelusniak, officiating. In accordance with current health guidelines, facial coverings are required. Memorial contributions may be made to NYOH Community Cancer Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
