Scott C. Williams

August 23, 1952 - May 21, 2015

Scott C. Williams, 62, of Fifth Avenue, Gloversville died Thursday May 21, 2015 at home. He was born in Amsterdam on August 23, 1952 a son of Kenneth and Annamae Bulger Williams and was a 1970 graduate of the former Bishop Burke High School. Scott later received an Associate’s degree from FMCC. He was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Williams was employed for thirty years with Frontier Communications in Johnstown, retiring in 2010. Scott enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking, and archery. He also loved spending time with family and friends. He was married to Mary Ann Mora Brockmann on November 24, 1999. Sadly, she died February 12, 2015. Survivors include a son, Adam S. Williams of Frederick, MD; a stepson, Paul E. (Theresa) Brockmann of Mastic Beach, NY; a step-daughter, Allison (Aric) Coppola of Burbank, CA; a sister, Beverly Williams of Gloversville; a half-sister, Carol LaPorte; two brothers, Kenneth and Larry Williams, both of Gloversville; his mother-in-law, Mary Mora of Broadalbin; sister-in-law, Bernardine Brooks of Broadalbin; and five step-granddaughters, Victoria, Lillien, Eleanor, Olivia, and Gwendolyn; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 pm at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, Inc. 111 County Highway 106 (Corner of Route 29 & Black Street) Johnstown with Deacon Ed Solomon, presiding. Burial will be at the Broadalbin-Mayfield Rural Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from noon to 2pm at the funeral home on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brennan Humane Society, in care of the funeral home.
