Jeffrey A. Hart

Jeffrey Alan Hart, 58, of Cobleskill, New York, passed away on June 1, 2026. He was born on June 23, 1967, in Amsterdam, New York. Jeffrey grew up in Perth, New York, and graduated from Perth Central School in 1985. In 1991, he married his high school sweetheart, Vanessa Paro. He spent many years working in construction and was known for his strong work ethic and ability to solve problems others could not. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, Alan Hart. He is survived by his mother, Cecelia (Fred) Putkowski; a sister, Pamela Hart (Rocky) Buchner; a brother, John Hart; three children, Reanne Hart, Brendon Hart, and Rachelle Hart; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In his younger years, Jeffrey was known for his intelligence, determination, and remarkable mechanical ability. Whether it was a snowmobile, ATV, lawn mower, car, or just about anything with a motor, family and friends knew he could bring it back to life. He loved a challenge and had a gift for figuring things out. If something was broken, people often turned to Jeffrey, confident that he could find a way to fix it. Jeffrey had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, riding ATVs, and spending time outside whenever he could. He also had a special fondness for horses and an eye for collecting treasures that others might have overlooked. To Jeffrey, one person’s junk often held endless possibilities. He was known for giving everyone a nickname. Whether you were family, a friend, a neighbor, or even one of the family pets, chances are Jeff had a special name for you. It was one of the many ways he connected with the people around him and left a lasting impression on those who knew him. Jeff could be stubborn and strong-willed, but beneath that tough exterior was a man with a big heart. He loved a challenge, enjoyed working with his hands, and believed there was very little that could not be fixed with enough determination. Those who knew him in his younger years will remember a man who was intelligent, resourceful, and talented beyond measure—a man who could look at something broken and find a way to make it run again. He will be deeply missed by his family and remembered by all who knew and loved him.
