Larry A. Flint III

Larry A. Flint, III, 48, of Bemis Road, Gloversville, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024, in the Town of Bradford, Steuben County, while hunting with friends. He was born in Gloversville on February 13, 1976, a son of Larry A. and Theresa Thompson Flint and was a lifelong area resident. Larry attended school in Gloversville and later transferred to Mayfield Central School, where he met the love of his life, Shana. He worked in asbestos abatement for several local companies. Later, Larry and his brother, Eric, co-owned and-operated ELF Construction, in Gloversville. At the time of his death, he was employed at Ward Brothers Dry Wall, Inc., in Gloversville. Larry had a deep love for the outdoors, finding peace and solace in hunting, which became his refuge amidst life’s chaos. He cherished every moment spent with his beloved wife and children, holding them closest to his heart and dedicating himself to their happiness. Known for his playful spirit and infectious goofiness, Larry never lost touch with his inner child, finding joy in playing video games with friends and creating laughter wherever he went. He was also captivated by the stars, marveling at their endless beauty and the sense of wonder they inspired. For Larry, stargazing was a calming escape, a reminder of the infinite and amazing universe he so admired. Above all, Larry’s greatest joy was the love he shared with his family, which illuminated his life as brightly as the stars he adored. Survivors include his beloved wife, Shana Flint, with whom he shared a birthday, and married on October 1, 2004. He is also survived by two children, Bailey Ann L. Flint and Brennon Ashton R. Flint, both of Gloversville; his father, Larry A. Flint, II of Gloversville; his mother, Theresa Flint of Gloversville; three brothers, Eric (Karen) Allen and Matthew Flint, all of Gloversville, and Sean (Amirah) Flint of Bellevue, NE; two sisters, Trisha (Ralphie) Rodriguez of Gloversville and Megan Flint of Ocala, FL; his father-in-law, Walter Karp of Gloversville; two sisters-in-law, Jamie Tallon of Lake Wales, FL and Jennifer (Chauncy) Warner of Gloversville; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cremation was performed at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 1- 3 pm at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, Inc. 111 County Highway 106 (Route 29 & Black St.) Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, the Brennan Memorial Humane Society, or to Catholic Charities of Fulton Montgomery Counties Food Pantry, all in care of the funeral home.
