Sherry Spraker Hall

Sherry Spraker Hall, 59, of Broadalbin, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Saratoga Hospital after battling a long illness. Her loving family was at her side. She was born in Amsterdam on March 24, 1967, a minute after her twin sister, Shelly, and was a daughter of Ronald and Judena Steele Spraker. Sherry attended school in Broadalbin and was a lifelong local resident. When she was younger, she enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially with her Uncle Ray. Later, Sherry enjoyed shopping, cooking, family and friend gatherings, parties, and phone calls to get updates on what everyone was doing. She loved gardening and had a green thumb. She loved spending time with Joyce Keller, her mother-in-law, and getting cooking tips from her. Sherry felt Joyce loved and treated her like a daughter. She also enjoyed shopping and visiting with Kirsten, her best friend and matron of honor. Sherry was a kindhearted person and also spoke her mind. She had spunk and sassiness and will be missed by all. Sherry was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Percy and Lillian Steele, (Pa & Ma), her paternal grandparents, Donald and Jean Spraker, her twin sister, Shelly Spraker, a nephew, Matthew Lee, a brother-in-law, Ryan Sweeney, a special uncle, Ray Hall, and a close friend, Andy Keller. Survivors include her parents, Ronald and Judena Spraker; her former husband, James Hall, who was her soulmate, best friend, and the love of her life, two brothers, Randy Spraker and Ronald “Gonzo” (Sheri) Spraker, two sisters, Rebecca Spraker (Tucker) and Carrie Spraker, a niece, Jess Roser, four nephews, Thomas (Abby) Lee III, Daniel “DJ” (Sydney) Stemmler, Stephen (Hannah) Spraker, and Samuel Spraker, and a great-niece, Payton Lee. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Tommy Steele who was a special cousin and pal, two longtime friends, Kirsten and Bobby Marks, and her mother-in-law, Joyce Keller. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Sherry’s family would like to thank the staff at Saratoga Hospital for the wonderful care and compassion that was given, including Dr. Jogani, Dr. Dawson, and nurses, lisa, Lilith, Olivia, Alison, Carolyn, and Amber.
